Red Hat is hosting a virtual Ansible Windows Automation Workshop. The workshop is ideal for Systems Administrators, Engineers, and Developers that work in and support a hybrid infrastructure.

If you’re new to Ansible Automation, this workshop consists of two parts:

  1. Starting with the basics of understanding foundational command-line activities
  1. Apply what you’ve learned to implement an Ansible automation controller to enterprise use cases. You’ll start by writing your first Ansible playbook, work on Jinja templates, and implement higher-level Ansible roles. Next, you’ll get started on automation controller, understand inventory and credential management, projects, job templates, surveys, workflows, and more.

This workshop guides you through configuring an Ansible automation controller to connect to Windows Server instances for automating operational tasks. Once the Ansible automation controller is configured, you will start automating simple tasks and progress to more advanced use cases such as patching and leveraging third-party solutions to enhance automation. You have minimal client requirements for interacting with the workshop because you need a compatible Web browser. This workshop has reduced requirements for Linux knowledge and command-line tools.

What you will learn:

  • Introduction to Ansible automation

  • How Ansible works for Windows automation

  • Understanding Ansible modules and playbooks

  • Using Ansible Automation Controller to scale automation to the enterprise

  • Reusing automation with Ansible Roles
