Workshop Overview:

This workshop consists of two parts:

Fierce Software's Red Hat Team will present:

1) Starting with the basics of understanding foundational command line activities

2) Applying what you’ve learned to implement Ansible automation controller to your enterprise use cases.

You’ll start off by writing your first Ansible playbook, working on Jinja templates, and implementing higher-level Ansible roles. Next, you’ll get started on automation controller, understand inventory and credential management, projects, job templates, surveys, workflows, and more. Fierce Software will also be providing lunch half way through this workshop to all who attended!

After finishing this lab you are ready to start using Ansible for your automation requirements.

GitLab Team will present:

1) Code scan and security dashboard as part of Merge Request
2) SCA and SBOM Integration into Critical Supply Chain Risk Management
3) IAC policy alignment with AWS + CRWD / Workflows
4) Shifting Left w/ IDE integration for code coverage and SAST
5) SAST/SCA/SBOM reporting functionality

Ivan Makfinsky:

Ivan has been a Principal Consultant, working with Fierce Software for 10 years. Ivan's open source focus, centered on infrastructure technologies and experience performing migrations, new implementations, and upgrades of Enterprise Management infrastructures, led him to developing expertise with DevOps, virtualization, cloud, and container technologies. He has been working in the IT world for over 20 years and has focused on Open Source technologies due to his passion for sharing and teaching. In the little spare time left over, he has contributed to projects ranging from the Fedora Project to Enterprise Linux rebuild efforts and other IT infrastructure projects.
